Envisions Project (EP) the platform, EP Scholarship, and EP Mentorship Program were established with the goal to give back to the South Tucson community, specifically San Miguel High School. As a San Miguel High School senior, Mireya Iglesias Ayala was humbled and motivated by the opportunities she was granted as a result of belonging to an empowering community and having access to quality resources. Mireya made it her purpose to put the motto “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve” into action.
After graduating from San Miguel as Class of 2015 Valedictorian, Mireya went on to pursue her higher education on a full-ride scholarship at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She attended the McDonough School of Business and double majored in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Spanish Language. Mireya graduated in 2019 from Georgetown University with her Bachelor’s and then moved to New York City to begin her career as a brand marketing professional for PepsiCo. Motivated by her promise to give back to her community, Mireya announced her Envisions Project Scholarship during her younger brother's San Miguel graduation in May of 2021.
Mireya was born in Tucson, AZ, and is a proud first-generation Mexican-American raised both in Arizona and Sonora, Mexico.
